Easter - a little late

Easter weekend was also my grandmama's birthday, so we decided to get all of our family together for a 1st annual Easter hunt and birthday party. Somehow we were able to get everyone extended family member there! Tucker absolutely adores his cousins (but he calls them cousints). He couldn't wait for them to arrive at the lake so that he could have someone to play with. He spend most of the morning asking me when would his cousints arrive and helping us set and decorate the tables. He also helped me stuff some plastic eggs with treats for the Easter egg hunt. When everyone finally arrived, he wouldn't have anything to do with me. He loves Tanner, who is the same age and they are two peas in a pod. I laughed so hard when I walked up on them and they were having a very serious conversation about Transformers and how Optimus Prime should defeat the Decepticons. It was the cutest thing!

When the Easter egg hunting time finally arrived, Tucker was ready to go. I have to admit that I am quite competive, but I really don't think that I can even hold a candle to my child. Where did he get that from? He ran around finding so many eggs that his poor little basket couldn't even hold it all. Tanner just let Tucker find them, then followed Tucker so that he could pick up all the eggs that fell from Tucker's basket. :0)
We had a great time with all of our family. The food was delicious and Grandmama was happy that everyone was there. She loves seeing her great-grandkids the most. We can't wait for the 2nd Annual Easter egg hunt and family gathering next year!
